About

Monitoring built where the money moves.

SpeculaPro began in Ghana, with the mobile money wallets, agent networks and instant transfers that carry most of the region’s payments. It now covers Nigeria and the UEMOA states too, and is designed to go wherever those patterns appear. It is built by Spalce Technologies Ltd.

Why we exist

Good monitoring shouldn’t need a global bank’s budget.

Payment providers, mobile money operators, fintechs and banks across West Africa carry the same obligation to detect laundering and fraud as any institution anywhere. Many are doing it with spreadsheets, threshold reports, or tools built for other markets that don’t recognise how money actually moves here.

We built SpeculaPro to change that: a platform that understands agent cash-in and SIM swaps as well as card testing, that compliance teams can tune themselves, and that can run in a bank’s own data centre when the data must stay there.

Principles

How we build.

  1. 01

We keep our own copy of the data we evaluate.

So monitoring never depends on your core system being up, and every alert can be proven later.

  2. 02

    Rules are data, not code.

Your compliance team tunes them without waiting for a release, and every change is versioned and approved.

  3. 03

    Everything is auditable.

Each decision records the rule version, the data and the parameters used.

  4. 04

    Self-hosting is the same product.

One codebase. A self-hosted installation is SaaS with one institution.

  5. 05

    Jurisdiction is a plug-in.

New markets add rule packs, report formats, currencies and languages without changing the platform.
