About these terms
This website and the SpeculaPro product are provided by Spalce Technologies Ltd, Princess Road, Omanjor, Accra, Ghana (“we”, “us”). By using this website you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use it.
The product has its own agreement
An institution uses SpeculaPro, hosted by us or installed on its own systems, under a written agreement signed with us. That agreement sets the fees, the service levels, the support, the licence, the data processing terms and each side’s liability.
Where a signed agreement and this page say different things, the signed agreement applies. The sections below on the hosted service describe our standard position; they do not replace that agreement.
Using this website
You may read this website and share links to it. You must not:
- try to gain access to systems or data you are not authorised to use;
- interfere with the website or the contact form, including by sending automated or bulk messages;
- send unlawful, misleading or harmful content through the form;
- copy the site’s design, text or images for commercial use without our written permission.
What the website tells you
We describe the product as accurately as we can. Features marked “planned” are not yet available. Screens show demonstration data, and figures labelled as illustrative or as engineering targets are exactly that: not results measured at a customer.
Nothing here is legal, regulatory or financial advice. Rule packs and reporting defaults reflect our reading of each market’s requirements; thresholds and report formats are confirmed with each institution, and where we say a figure is still to be verified with a regulator, treat it as unverified.
Using the hosted service
An institution that uses the hosted service agrees, in summary, to:
- give access only to its own authorised staff, each with their own account, and keep sign-in details and API keys secret;
- send only data it is entitled to send, and use the service only for its own lawful monitoring, investigation and reporting;
- not resell the service, test its security without our written consent, or try to reach another institution’s data;
- tell us promptly if it suspects an account or key has been misused.
We agree to provide the service with reasonable skill and care, to keep each institution’s data separate and protected as described under Security, and to give notice of planned maintenance. We may suspend access where needed to protect the service or other institutions, and will say why.
Your compliance decisions are yours
SpeculaPro is a tool for an institution’s compliance team. It raises alerts, records decisions and drafts reports; it does not decide for you. The institution remains responsible for its anti-money laundering and fraud obligations: which rules it runs and at what thresholds, how it disposes of alerts and cases, and what it files with its regulator and when.
No monitoring system detects everything. We do not promise that SpeculaPro will identify every suspicious transaction or prevent every fraud.
Your data
An institution’s data stays the institution’s. We process it only to provide the service and on the institution’s instructions, under the data processing terms of the agreement. When the agreement ends, the data is returned or deleted as the agreement provides. See Data protection.
Information about you as a visitor or business contact is covered by our privacy policy.
Ownership
The SpeculaPro name, software, rule packs, documentation and this website belong to Spalce Technologies Ltd or its licensors. An agreement gives an institution the right to use them; it does not transfer ownership. Rules and settings an institution writes for itself remain its own.
Our liability
This website is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from relying on the website alone. We do not exclude any liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.
Liability for the product and the hosted service is set out in the signed agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over disputes about them, unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version applies from the date shown at the top of this page. A change here does not alter a signed agreement.
